Abstract: Malignant mesothelioma is a class of rare malignant tumor with a poor prognosis, which originates in the serosal surface. Due to the insidious onset and nonspecific clinical manifestation, it is not unusual for the missed diagnosis of malignant mesothelioma clinically. Pathology and immunohistological techniques have so far been the major diagnostic approach, owning the high sensitivity and specificity. This article reported a case of colon cancer complicated with malignant peritoneal mesothelioma, and summarized a literature review about it's pathogenesisas, diagnosis and treatment as well, trying to promote the clinical cognition of the disease.
